Armfleece Earthmoving is a progressive hire company that provides dozers, heavy equipment and earthmoving machinery for Queensland’s mining and rural industries. With our team being one of the best in the business, we pride ourselves on the reliability of our earthmoving equipment and exceptional customer service.

Our Location

Armfleece is located approximately 25km from Emerald in Central Queensland. Our property is called ‘Killara’ and is located 15km down Foley Road, which branches off the Capricorn Highway 10km east of Emerald. Please view our map for more detailed directions.

At Armfleece Earthmoving, we exclusively employ the most experienced and qualified tradesmen. Our team is, therefore, one of the best in the business. Not only do we offer a wealth of knowledge and experience but also a commitment to the job, ensuring all work is completed to the highest possible standard.

Barry Tessmann

Managing Director

Prior to the establishment of Armfleece Pty ltd in 1992 Barry was a farmer at Kingaroy he also had a D8 dozer that he used for contract clearing and development and he continues to operate machinery today. His keen interest in machinery goes back to his farming days which gives Barry over 40 years’ experience in heavy machinery.

Armfleece started its machinery hire with one D10N dozer which was hired out at Gregory Mine near Emerald in the early 90s.

Barry is still passionate with both his Earthmoving business and his Irrigation Farm Operation.

Sue Tessmann

Operations Manager/BDM

As a family business Barry and Sue have worked together to build a small but successful company in both the farming and earthmoving areas. Sue’s role is to be responsible for the overall areas of management, business development and administration in both the Earthmoving and Farming operations.

Bernadine Horne

Customer Support/Administrator

We are also supported extensively by our customer Support/Administrator who has been our backbone when it comes to communication with our customers and guiding them through the machine hire process and and attending to their equipment requirements and logistics. Now over 10 years.

Ronald Kay

Diesel Fitter

Ron Started as a fitter at Armfleece and has been with the company for 10 years. Over the years Ron has supported Armfleece and other team members with his many years of extensive experience as a fitter working within the Mining and Heavy Earthmoving industry.

Adam Tessmann

Farming Operations/Technical Farm Support

Adam has been a continuing valuable support to the family business both in the Irrigation Farming and Earthmoving enterprises and has been working on the farm since childhood. Adam has a wealth of knowledge in machinery and cropping which has been an asset to the company’s success.

Farming Operations

Doug has been part of the team for approximately 4 years and has contributed with his extensive farming knowledge, he is a valuable team member both within the farming and earthmoving areas

Diesel Fitter

Dan is a valuable team member and has supported Armfleece with his knowledge and expertise to maintain our fleet of heavy earthmoving machines and providing field service to allow peak production.

Armfleece have ISO certification AS/NZS ISO 9001 – 2016 and AS/NZS 4801 – 2001. The main benefit of ISO certification is the improved efficiency and accountability. ISO certification is all about a certified quality management system which ultimately means our customers can expect a more consistent experience.
